SAVE (Students Association for Village Education) is a regional organisation led by a group of enthusiastic youth that aims to build real-world knowledge and skills and work on holistic development. The association was founded in 2008 with a focus on education, but over time, it has expanded to include culture and sports as well.

Our association is a manifestation of a few stubborn youths, who back in 2008, pledged to work for the betterment of our region and its residents, who often fall behind on multiple aspects of development, as opposed to the rest of Ladakh. While we initially focused only on the education of our students, our organisation grew at a swift pace, and we realized we couldn’t confine it to a single issue. And so, from 2014 onwards, we also started including Culture and Sports in our field of work.
