Changthang Football Initiative

About the project

The primary objective of this training program is to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and teamwork among the students of the region. Additionally, we aim to create a platform where young talent can be nurtured and given an opportunity to explore their potential in football.

The football training sessions will be led by highly experienced coaches, Mr. Harpreet Bedi and Mr. Skalzang Dorjey Kalyan. Harpreet Bedi, born on 29th June 1993 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand is a professional footballer and coach. He holds the record for being the first person to have won I-league football championships both as a player and as a coach. He is the founder and CEO of Ladakh Football School & Academy. Skalzang Dorjey Kalyan born 19 August 1989 is an Indian cricketer and a sportperson. He became the first player from the Ladakh region to play in the national-level domestic competition. He made his Twenty20 debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
